Graduate Admissions Instructions

  1. Complete and submit the Application for Admission form. Include the non-refundable $35 application fee, a recent photo of yourself, your autobiography, a one page handwritten essay on selected subject matter. Mail to:

  2. Undergraduate students currently attending Shasta Bible College should obtain a petition for admission to the graduate school from the Registrar's office.
  3. Submit a completed Transcript Request to each appropriate institution. An official transcript from the institution which granted your bachelor's degree and any transcripts which record graduate level coursework must be mailed to the Registrar at Shasta Bible College directly from the school that issues the transcript.
  4. Sign and return SBC's Foundational Documents packet: doctrinal statement, purpose, philosophy and lifestyle commitment.
  5. Have four reference forms filled out and returned to the registrar's office.

Prerequisites

MS in School/Church Administration:

  1. The student must have a bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university.
  2. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or a score of 1000 on the Graduate Record Exam or 12 units at 3.0 at Shasta Bible College.
  3. Undergraduate work must include nine semester hours of education and/or psychology courses (not including general psychology).
  4. Students who did not complete their undergraduate degree at Shasta Bible College may be required to take TS 102 Scripture and God and TS 404 Senior Theology in addition to their other degree requirements.
  5. Students must receive their letter of acceptance into the program before they may be considered admitted into the program. In certain cases, where no letter of acceptance has been received, a student may be permitted to take one class under provisional admission, but may not begin a second class until full admission has been granted.

MA in Biblical Counseling/Christian Family Life Education:

  1. The student must have a bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university.
  2. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or 12 units at 3.0 at Shasta Bible College.
  3. Students who did not complete their undergraduate degree at Shasta Bible College may be required to take TS 102 Scripture and God and TS 404 Senior Theology in addition to their other degree requirements.
  4. Students must receive their letter of acceptance into the program before they may be considered admitted into the program. In certain cases, where no letter of acceptance has been received, a student may be permitted to take one class under provisional admission, but they may not begin a second class until full admission has been granted. In addition, please note that courses in the Graduate program are taken one at a time.
