Redding, California

Redding is the county seat of Shasta County, California, and is located on the Sacramento River and on Interstate 5 south of Shasta Lake. Once in Redding, a one hour drive in any direction will land you in some of the most spectacular recreational playgrounds in California! In 2005 the census report indicated that the city had a total population of 88,700.
