Certificate in Biblical Studies

The Certificate in Biblical Studies is designed to provide a one year condensed course in Biblical studies for missions work or general Christian ministry. The student may transfer these credits into a degree program at a later time with faculty approval.

The Certificate in Christian Professional Studies is designed to provide a one year condensed course in Biblical studies for missions work or general Christian ministry.  There are two tracks, Biblical Studies and Biblical Counseling.  The student may transfer these credits into a degree program at a later time with faculty approval.

Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies

The AA in Biblical Studies provides courses that lay a foundation for Christian ministry through Bible survey, analysis, interpretation, and theology.  The student may transfer these credits into the bachelor program at a later time with faculty approval.

Diploma in Biblical Studies

The Diploma in Biblical Studies is designed to prepare the student who desires to minister vocationally in the local church. This three year program provides the student with a practical working knowledge of the Bible, theology, and Christian ministry. Graduates of this program may, at a later date, elect to use it as the basis for the completion of a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

This four-year degree program in Bible and Theology is designed to give students a broad base for ministry. Students may take a variety of courses for their electives or choose an area of concentration from the following:

Bachelor of Arts in 
Christian Professional Studies

The BA in Christian Professional Studies is a degree completion program for students with an A.A. Degree or 60 transferable college credits.  The degree may be taken in one of three concentrations: Biblical Studies, Biblical Counseling and Christian Family Life Education, or Christian Teacher Education.

Master of Arts in Christian Ministries

For individuals who have earned an undergraduate degree and are currently holding or seeking opportunities as pastors, ministers, evangelists, missionaries, and teachers in churches or parachurch organizations.  Can choose from the following areas of concentration:

Department of Christian Teacher Education

Certificate in Early Childhood Education

The Certificate in Early Childhood Education qualifies the student to work in private preschools and day care centers.  All courses are lab-based directed study designed to utilize knowledge gained through texts and other resources with practical hands-on assignments, projects and experience in a preschool setting.

Bachelor of Arts in Christian Teacher Education

The BA in Christian Teacher Education is designed for teachers who desire to teach in a private school setting.  Shasta Bible College is approved to offer course work which meets the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) requirements for teacher and administrative certification and certification renewal.  Does not lead to California state credentialing.

Master of Science in Education: Curriculum & Instruction

For individuals currently holding or seeking positions as Christian school teachers and who already possess a BA or BS degree from an accredited or otherwise approved institution. This degree leads to ACSI Certification, but does not lead to California state credentialing. SBC&GS does not grant Certification or Recertification.

Master of Science in Education: Administration

For individuals currently holding or seeking positions as Christian school administrator, church/school business manager, principal, assistant principal, or supervisor.  Must already possess a BA or BS degree from an accredited or otherwise approved institution. This degree leads to ACSI Certification, but does not lead to California state credentialing. SBC&GS does not grant Certification or Recertification.

Shasta Bible College is approved by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) to offer courses leading to an ACSI Teacher/Administrator/Specialist Certificate. For those who already possess a BA or BS degree from an accredited or otherwise approved institution.  SBC&GS does not grant Certification or Recertification.  *Not a formal program, students enter as Non Degree

Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling

This program is designed to equip students to counsel persons and their families from a biblical perspective. In His Word, God has provided superior and sufficient resources for spiritual growth and maturity. This includes principles and precepts for optimum family and interpersonal relationships. The focus of this training is on discipleship and the application of biblical truth to the problems and challenges of contemporary Christian living.  This degree does not lead to state licensure in California.

Master of Arts in Christian Family Life Education

This advanced degree program is designed to prepare family life educators. Since the field of family life education is already acknowledged as essential to education in the public sector, it is equally vital that churches, Christian schools, mission agencies and para-church organizations have a source of well-equipped specialists to meet this emerging need. The focus of this program is on the God-given biblical principles and processes which bring marital and family relationships into conformity with the image of Christ.  This degree does not lead to state licensure in California.
