Did you know the best kept education secret in Shasta County is a four-year Christian college that offers accredited undergraduate and graduate programs specifically designed to prepare students for life and ministry? It's Shasta Bible College & Graduate School in Redding, CA. Not sure if you're called to earn a degree but still want to challenge your faith and want to grow closer to Christ, we have a few awesome evening courses that may interest you:

Starting January 8th, the following evening classes will be available at SBC:
  • Mondays:
    • 6-9 p.m. The Book of Proverbs by Prof. Tom Meyer​​
      • ​Study with Prof. Tom Meyer, who lived in Jerusalem four years and earned two M.A. degrees at Jerusalem University College. Tom knows a third of the Bible from memory and will provide fresh insights from the Book of Proverbs. (3)
    • 1-4 p.m.  Life Cycle Issues with Dr. Harlan Confer
      • Basic Biblical principles related to selected issues that occur during the lifespan of the family and its individual members. Prof. C. Confer will help you apply God's Word to common problems families face in today's complex society. (3) 
  • Tuesdays:
    • 4:10—5:40 p.m.  ORAL TRANSMISSION AND MEMORIZATION OF THE BIBLE:  
      • Let Prof. Tom Meyer explain how he has memorized entire books of both the Old    and New Testaments and how you can do the same.  With God’s Word hidden in your mind and heart, you can be a powerhouse for God, armed always with the Sword of the Spirit. (1.5)
    • 6—9 p.m.  SELF CONFRONTATION AND BIBLICAL COUNSELING:
      • Dr. Harlan Confer & Jane Deangelo will teach students how to approach
        circumstances, relationships and the situations of life from a Biblical perspective, and to experience victory and contentment  in all of life’s trials, testing, and problems. This class will prepare you how to help others face and deal with these issues Biblically. (3)   
    • 1—4 p.m. YOUTH MINISTRY: ADMIN & PROGRAMMING FOR STUDENT      MINISTRIES: 
      • Study with youth specialist, Jeff Breshears, Founder of Vertical Life and currently with Elevate Ministries, as he shares effective principles for the management and administration of student ministry, including outreach and teaching strategies for reaching young people through the local church, campus ministries and camps. (3)
    • 6—9 p.m.  INTRODUCTION TO MISSIONS:
      •  Join Dr. Dan and Linda Iles as they guide you through missionary methodology, the relationship of missions to the local church and the place of mission boards,from both a Biblical and contemporary perspective.  Learn the historical development of missions and sound theological missionary practices. (3)
    • 6—9 P.M.  COMPREHENDING THE USE OF COMPUTER SOFTWARE FOR RESEARCH, COMPOSITION AND INSTRUCTION:
      • Don’t be left behind by technology.  Let Dr. George Gunn  acquaint you with some of the awesome tools for effective teaching, writing and research needed to succeed in today’s  academic and  ministry environments. (3) 
  • Thursdays:
    • 1—4 p.m.  THE BOOK OF PSALMS:
      • Old Testament expert,  Dr. Stephen Brown, who specializes in Wisdom Literature, will guide you through the interpretation and application of representative Psalms, especially those related to the life of Christ portrayed in Israel’s  hymnbook. (3)
    • 6 —9 p.m.  SURVEY OF CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY II:
      • Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding of the Doctrines of God (Theology Proper) , The Bible (Bibliology), Christ (Christology), The  Holy Spirit (Pneumatology) and Man (Anthropology) with gifted Professor and Pastor/ Teacher, Dr. David Wilcox. (3)
    • 6 —9 p.m.  INTRO TO PERSONAL EVANGELISM & BIBLICAL COUNSELING:
      • This class will introduce students to the principles and process of personal evangelism and Biblical counseling.  Pastor Matt Silva, a certified counsel or with the Asso. of Certified Biblical Counselors, will share how to establish Biblical hope, encourage commitment, and lay a foundation for lasting Biblical change.Also, methods for dealing with personal and interpersonal life issues will be addressed. (3)
